Dr Carolyn Paes (f)
Dr Paes (BM BCh [OXON], MA Hons DRCOG, MRCGP) is the Senior Partner. She graduated from Oxford University in
1997 and is the linked GP for a local care home.
She is our Palliative Care Lead and Child Safeguarding
Lead, as well as being involved with teaching
medical students.

Dr Jiri Dolezal (m)
Dr Dolezal (MBBS, MRCP, MRCGP [Merit])
is a GP partner. He is our QOF (Quality and Outcomes
Framework) Lead, as well as being involved
with teaching medical students.

Dr Catherine McTernan (f)
Dr McTernan (MBBS MRCGP DCH DRCOG DFSRH PGCGPE) graduated from Newcastle Medical School in 2001.
She is a GP partner and the lead for Education and Training, teaching medical students, Year of Care, Prescribing, Veterans and Women's Health.

Dr Dan Beal (m)
Dr Beal (MBChB BSC) graduated with a
Bachelor of Science Degree in Neuroscience
from Nottingham University in 2004,
later achieving a Bachelor of Medicine
and Surgery Degree from Sheffield University
in 2009.
He is a GP Partner and has special
interests in ENT and musculoskeletal
(MSK) conditions, and is very involved
with teaching medical students.

Dr Antonia Charlton (f)
Dr Charlton (MBBS MCRP MRCGP) is a GP Partner.
She graduated from Newcastle University in 2004.
She has a special interest in general adult medicine,
haematology and elderly medicine.
She is also the Child Health Lead for our practice. |
Dr Paula Bradley (f)
Dr Bradley (BA (Hons), MBBS, MClinRes (Distinction), PhD,
MRCS DOHNS (2010), MRCGP (2021)),
graduated from Newcastle Medical School in 2005.
She trained in Ear, Nose and Throat surgery (ENT)
before becoming a GP. She has special interests in
ENT problems and peri/menopause care, as well
as contributing to research into the diagnosis of head
and neck cancer.

Dr Kathy Greenough (f)
Dr Greenough (MBBS, MSc, MRCGP) graduated from Newcastle University in 1990 and has worked in the North East since then.
She has a special interest in mental health and paediatric medicine.

Dr Joanna Austen (f)
Dr Austen (MBBS, MRCGP, DRCOG, DFFP) graduated from Newcastle University in 2001. She has worked around the region in various different surgeries and care homes. She has experience in all aspects of general practice. |  |

Dr Luke Teo (m)
Dr Luke Teo (MBBS MRCS MRCGP DipExMed) graduated
from Newcastle Medical School in 2010, and completed
GP training in the Northern Deanery in 2019
after a period of surgical and urological training.
He has special interests in men's health, and sports
and exercise medicine.

Teaching/Training
We are a teaching practice and so regularly have
first, third and fifth year medical and nursing
students with us. They are supervised by the
GP and Nursing teams. You may be offered an
appointment during which the students are
present. You can decline their presence if you wish. We host registrars; these are fully
qualified doctors who are undergoing extra
training to become General Practitioners. |
Accountable GP
You will be assigned an accountable, or "named" GP
when we register you as a patient. You do not need to see your named GP when you book
an appointment. You are entitled to choose to see any GP or
nurse in the practice. You can ask to be reminded of who your "named" GP is. You can request to be assigned to another GP, and
reasonable efforts will be made to accommodate this.
